Coffee roaster and café by day and restaurant by night, Auction Rooms has put North Melbourne on the map as a destination for good food. Within the converted auction house, there's an industrial fit-out inside and a large sunny courtyard out the back. Of course, coffee is a big drawcard at Auction Rooms, but that's only half the story, dinner comprises artfully constructed plates that capitalise on the eclecticism of modern Australian cuisine.
