Pino’s Vino e Cucina is a humble Italian restaurant in Alexandria, delivering seriously good food and booze. With exposed brick walls, wooden trimmings and tables lit by candlelight, the vibe is rustic and old-world but don’t let that fool you about the menu. It’s refined yet homely, creative yet traditional and, ultimately, the type of food you want to eat night after night. Fresh pasta should be at the top of your list, as should the burrata with apple and truffle honey. The largely organic wine list is the perfect accompaniment to the impressive Italian fare.
