TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR BEST RESTAURANTS GIFT CARD

Please read these terms & conditions, so you are familiar with how your card works:
  1. These are terms & conditions that apply to use of the Best Restaurants Gift Card. Users of the Best Restaurants Gift Card accept these conditions of use.
  2. Best Restaurants Gift Cards are not registered to any user. Consequently anyone in possession of the Card may use it. Any use of the Card is deemed to be made by the cardholder. So keep your Card in a secure place. Defaced, mutilated, altered, lost or stolen Cards will not be replaced.
  3. The Best Restaurants Gift Card cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, returned for a refund, have their balances consolidated to a new gift card, or be replaced after expiry and are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities. Cash will not be given for any unused amount.
  4. Best Restaurants Gift Cards expire twelve months from the date of issue which can be checked here. Cards may not be redeemed after their expiry date.
  5. All Best Restaurant Gift Cards remain inactivated and are not usable until:
    • Cards purchased at a store are activated when payment is made at the point-of-sale.
    • Cards purchased directly from de Groots Media by phone or from our website, are mailed non-activated. Each Card is sent with a transaction number. Cardholders must contact de Groots Media by phone (02 9211 6088) or email (admin@bestgiftcards.com.au) with the transaction number and request that their card be activated. All Cards are valid for twelve months from date of activation. Cardholders are strongly advised to check that their Cards have been activated by visiting this link. Non-activated Cards will show a zero balance.
  6. Best Restaurants Gift Card cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer unless otherwise advised by the individual restaurant.
  7. There is no GST included in the cost of the certificate. The GST is on the product that purchasers buy with their gift card.
  8. Any problem experienced with a Best Restaurants Gift Card payment, acceptance or other operational matter should be reported to admin@bestgiftcards.com.au so we may resolve any difficulties as promptly as possible.
  9. de Groots Best Restaurants Gift Cards™ acts as agent for restaurants on this site. Any complaint about the experience purchased should be taken to the supplier in the first instance.
  10. Cardholders are encouraged to make their own enquiries by contacting individual restaurants for up to date information. It should be understood that the inclusion of any restaurant or product on our websites does not mean that the publisher warrants in any way that your requirements will be satisfied.
  1. People making bookings and purchasers of Gift Cards accept that Best Restaurants does not control the availability of appointments, quality of treatments, service provided or the billing policies of restaurants on this site. This publication and any references to products or services are provided 'as is' without any warranty or implied term or condition of any kind.
  2. The sale of a Gift Card in no way implies that Best Restaurants warrants the products or services of that restaurant
  3. Best Restaurants Gift Card holders may only use the Card at accepting restaurants. Cards cannot be used at any restaurant not listed as an accepting restaurant at our restaurant search engine.
  4. Best Restaurants of Australia reserves the right to add, modify or delete any information at this website.
  5. The Best Restaurants Gift Card is multi-usable. You may check your balance and expiry date here.
  6. Best Restaurants Gift Cards expire after twelve months at the end of the month of activation. It is not possible to extend the expiry date of expired Cards. All cards purchased at any store are activated when purchased at the point-of-sale. Cardholders are advised to write the month and year of purchase on the rear, if this is not done at the point-of-sale.
  7. Our liability is limited to replacing faulty gift cards.
  8. Our delivery policy
    Any order for a Best Restaurants Gift Card received before 3 pm A.E.S. time, Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day by Australia Post mail service. Express Post and courier delivery are available for an extra fee. Details are on the order form.
    1. Refund and replacement policy
      Cards are not refundable for cash. Should your Best Restaurants Gift Card be defective or unusable, contact us on (02) 9211 6088 or email admin@bestgiftcards.com.au. You do not have to return the card as we can cancel it and issue a new one.

  10. We may cancel any Best Restaurants Gift Card, or the Gift Card program for any reason at any time without notice. If so, we may either provide a refund or a replacement Gift Card of equivalent value unless we reasonably suspect fraud in relation to a Gift Card. The Gift Card remains our property.
  11. We can vary or replace these conditions of use from time to time (including to introduce new fees) by publishing a notice on the website www.bestgiftcards.com.au/restaurants

  13. The laws of the state of New South Wales apply to this agreement. By entering into this agreement you unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
